National Honor Society (NHS) Induction Ceremony
The Falcon Chapter of National Honor Society inducted 13 new members on Thursday, November 18, 2021 FSE. The candlelight ceremony is a national time-honored tradition dating back 100 years. 
Chapter President Jennifer Pina welcomed guests after the processional. The purpose of National Honor Society was shared by Chapter Vice President Mariana Rodriguez; the Pillars of NHS were explained by members Osiris Gonzalez  (Sholarship),  Carlos Urbina Venta (Service), Tenaj Williams (Leadership), Diamond Francois (Character), and Jerry Salgado Lemus (Citizenship). Adviser Ms. Marjorie Griffin presented each inductee for membership, Chapter Secretary Keiona Garlington verified as new inductees signed the chapter membership book, and Principal Mehmet Biter awarded inductees with membership cards and pins.  Students welcomed into membership include: senior Alexa Bautista, juniors Stephane Montemayor, David Quevedo Piceno, Jason Radillo, Yadhira Sanchez Peralta, sophomores Muna Ali, Vanessa Yanez Campos, Taylor Graham, Fardialah Guerrier, Mandek Muhamud, Erika Rodriguez Navarette, Nasri Yusuf, and freshman Fehima Mohamed was inducted into National Junior Honor Society.
The candle lighting ceremony officially increased the FSE Falcon Chapter from 12 members to 25. Mr. Mehmet provided remarks charging each member to continue as leaders among the student body and congratulated each one for this prestigious honor.
