Graduation & Senior Activities, Class of 2024
As the Frontier STEM High School 2024 graduates, you have worked diligently over the years and are nearing senior graduation-related events. These once-in-a-lifetime activities will make memories to last your lifetime. See below specific event details and take action where required.
1. Senior Banquet
Friday, April 26 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, @ FSHS Gym
We are excited to see you at the Annual Senior Banquet - Class of 2024! Senior banquets are gatherings of the senior class to enjoy a full buffet dinner menu together before graduation; it is also a time to announce academic and athletic achievements as well as senior superlatives. Join us in celebrating our students' success and recognizing their accomplishments. Parents may arrive anytime between 5:00 pm - 5:30 pm. Attendance is required, as we will be passing out the graduation invitation tickets, flyers, and picture order cards, and sharing details about the graduation ceremony including parking, entrance, location, and time. 2. Cap & Gown Delivery
Monday, April 29 between 10:30 am – 11:20 am, @ FSHS Gym
Jostens, Graduation Service will deliver Cap & Gown for the class of 2024! If you are an online student, please make the necessary arrangements to be at the school between 10:30 am – 11:20 am.
3. Graduation Rehearsal
Monday, May 20 from 9:30 am – 12:00 pm @ The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection (5009 W 137th St. Leawood, KS 66224).
Seniors must participate in the graduation rehearsal in order to participate in the Graduation Ceremony. Seniors will receive detailed information about the graduation ceremony procedures and they will be assigned a seat. Students who are not attending the graduation rehearsal will have their names removed and will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony as graduating seniors. Any exceptions require administrative approval.
4. Senior Graduation Clearance
Tuesday, May 21 from 9:00 am – 10:00 am @ FSHS Lobby
As you are making final preparations for completing your academic program at Frontier STEM High School, please be reminded of the Graduation Clearance. Listed below are the steps students must be clear of before they receive their diploma during the graduation ceremony. Seniors, please turn all materials in on Tuesday, May 21 between 9:00 am - 10:00 am. Seniors are allowed to turn their materials in earlier if they are done with them early. Materials could be
- Any books you owe (including the dual credit books) - Gym Uniform
- A school laptop, Chromebook or IPad. - Chargers
- Yondr Bag & Other school properties - Other school fees
Please note that students who have a balance will not receive their diploma during the graduation ceremony.
5. Graduation Ceremony
Thursday, May 23 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm @ The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection (5009 W 137th St. Leawood, KS 66224).
Seniors need to complete all graduation requirements, participate in the graduation rehearsal, and wear a cap & gown in order to take part in the graduation ceremony. Seniors who do not complete the above requirements will not be allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony. Those seniors will be notified on Wednesday (5/22/2024). Each senior will receive 10 tickets to invite their family, and friends, during the senior banquet. If a senior needs, more than 10 tickets should talk to fellow seniors who may not be using all of their tickets. You can also purchase additional tickets from the office. Seniors who do not need 10 tickets can return unused tickets to Mr. Taslama. Those tickets will be passed out to other seniors who need more tickets.
Program Flow
5:00 pm: Graduates Arrive and Door Opens
5:15 - 5:55 pm: College Acceptance Slideshow
6:00 pm: Ceremony Begins
Seniors are to be at the graduation venue no later than 5:50 pm with their cap and gown. Seniors who show up after 5:55 pm will not participate in the graduation ceremony as graduating seniors. Men are asked to dress in slacks, shirts, and shoes, no jeans. Women are asked to wear a dress, slacks, or skirt with a shirt and shoes or dress sandals. Noisemakers, balloons, glitter, and confetti are not allowed in the building. Seniors, please note that inappropriate dress and behavior at any of the senior activities will result in you not being allowed to participate in that activity.
