UMKC law students invited some Falcons to visit the campus and learn more about what it is they do. Ms. May’s government and world history classes had the opportunity to attend courses made just for them. It was a first time experience for our Falcons -- they traveled to different rooms to learn about constitutional law, the bill of rights, and police practices. “It was inspiring,” said junior Jordan J. “ I got to learn a lot of things I didn’t know. I’ve already decided to change my major and go into pre-law then law school. I held a conversation with an aspiring lawyer, now she's my mentor. Now we’re scheduled to have dinner Sunday to start discussing my path. I’m thankful for the opportunity.” The "Street Law" field trip ended with a panel discussion with practicing attorneys and current law students. --by Kala Wiggins Photo: DeNaja H., Harper D., Adolfo S., and Xavier H. try to decide which right to give up!
