COVID-19 Parent Letter

March 22, 2020

Dear FSI-Elementary Parents and Guardians,

Frontier School of Innovation-Elementary will be closed for 5 weeks as a precautionary measure to slow the spread of the COVID-19, with classes scheduled to resume April 27th, unless we communicate otherwise.  All school activities and field trips have also been cancelled during this time.

Please know the entire FSI-Elementary staff is working hard to make the best of this situation by supporting student learning and well-being. During the school closure, FSI-Elementary will be utilizing a Hybrid Model (use of online learning and learning packets) and transition to Virtual Learning for our Alternative Method of Instruction Plan.

Your child’s teacher will be communicating with you regarding your students email address and password; the best way to contact them; and the daily learning expectations for your child each day the Alternative Method of Instruction Plan is in place. Your child’s teacher will also be available each day from 9:00am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 3:30pm for any assistance you may need.

If you were unable to pick up your student’s grade level learning materials and iPad on March 13 &14th, the FSI-Elementary front office will be openon March 23 & 25, 2020 from 10:00am -1:00pm to pick up materials and devices.  Grade Level learning materials will also be posted on our FSI-Elementary website. If you are looking for additional ideas to support your student or keep them busy following Spring Break, ideas are being shared on our FSI-Elementary website.

Regular communication from Frontier Schools will continue through the District and School websites, or as well as our School Reach message communication and social media.

If at any time you need assistance or resources from administration or support staff at FSI-Elementary, please do not hesitate to reach out.
