Frontier Schools of Excellence students brought home multiple awards
Over the weekend, Frontier Schools of Excellence students brought home multiple awards in two different competitions.
Frontier Schools are offering Turkish as a foreign language along with Spanish and French. Two Frontier students attended preliminary rounds of Southwest America Turkish Olympiad finals. One of them, Makenna Lockhart, received a bronz medal in her category. Another student, Michael Cox, received a silver medal in his category.
Also, recently, twelve students of Frontier School of Excellence participated at the 8th Annual Youth Technology Fair "Pathway to STEM" Exhibition on Saturday, Feb. 18th. First place winners of both middle school and high school divisions are among FSE students who presented their projects at the Southeast Community Center yesterday. In fact, top three placement awards in senior division all went to Frontier students. Congratulations are in order to these students for their hard work and FSE science and math department for their dedication and support. The names of the winners are:

At about the same time we learned of another fabulous area dancer and put him on our radar screen for the future. We're glad we did because very big things are happening for De'Anthony Vaughan.
As he rolls and stretches and contorts his body to a powerful musical beat at the dance studio of Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey, De'Anthony Vaughan is certain he was born for this.

The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) has developed a Parents' Bill of Rights.
Local education entities must provide the Bill of Rights (162.850 RSMO) to parents when: · A child is determined eligible for special education services or, · When an initial Individualized Education Program (IEP) is developed and, · Whenever the Procedural Safeguards Notice is provided to parents.
